America InfoDay for Call 9 (FP7-INFRASTRUCTURES-2011-2) on 8th July

This page enables remote participation in the Distributed Info-day for Call 9 (FP7-INFRASTRUCTURES-2011-2) to be held on 8th July in the Global Plaza, which reinforces for Latin and North America the Info Day held in Brussels on the 11th of June. American and European researchers will be able to participate remotely and present their cooperation proposals in the event.

Call 9 opens the following objectives (more info here):

* INFRA-2011-1.2.1: e-Science environments

* INFRA-2011-1.2.2: Data infrastructures for e-Science

* INFRA-2011-2.3.5: Second implementation phase of the European High Performance Computing (HPC) service PRACE

* INFRA-2011-3.4: Coordination actions, conferences and studies supporting policy development, including international cooperation, for e-infrastructures

* INFRA-2011-3.5: Trans-national cooperation among NCPs

  • Registration. In case you plan to follow the event please, please register your participation (Click Yes in upper right corner) such that you appear in the participants list. You may need to Register before if you have not done it yet.
  • Submissions of proposals for Networking Session. American and European researchers will be able to participate remotely and present their cooperation proposals in a short presentation with 2 slides. To send your collaboration proposal click here, attach the presentation to the email which pops up and send the email.
  • Event starting date and time: 8th July 14:00 UTC. Check your local time here
  • Streaming. When you enter this page during the event, you should see the streaming of the event embedded here.
  • Interactive participation:

  • Notification. If you plan to set up an interactive site over the Internet, we would appreciate if you notify your participation by sending the email which pops-up when you click here.
  • Remote participation from your Web Browser with Flash client. The simplest form to participate interactively is by clicking on the "Participation" button above and follow instructions. Once you have joined the meeting as a standard participant you will be able to make questions (raise hand by clicking question mark) and intervene, when the organizers give you the turn.
  • Participate using Isabelv5 (recommended for speakers or sites setting up a room or auditorium): follow instructions here to install Isabelv5 (http://isabel.dit.upm.es/mediawiki/index.php/Isabel_v5_Quick_Guide) and connect to server at mcuz.global.dit.upm.es. Backup server: mcu2.dit.upm.es
  • Testing. If you plan to participate and make questions to speakers please test your audio and video in advance. Send the email which pops up when you click here to arrange a test with Walter Munguia or Johnny Laura from Red CLARA, or with Abel or Jaime from UPM.
